I am sure she is not exerting or “taking” anything if she is invited to come and speak.]]> As a woman who is called and gifted to teach and write, I spent years holding back from my calling, out of fear of not being biblical and fear of how I would be treated. God has convicted me of living in fear and shown me that he doesn’t give gifts unless he wants them to be used. Thank you for standing up for Beth and exposing the sin that is so deeply rooted. Beth has taught women for years. Men want to hear her speak and other men blame her… 🤦‍♀️. I believe the scriptures say that Paul doesn’t allow a woman to exert authority over a man. And it would behove us all to remember it is indeed part of the curse and not a privilege to be twirled at the end of heart strings. When contrive to work together as man and woman, we are very, very good. But when we don’t, we are horrid. I am so thankful for Beth’s exhaustive buoyancy in this life as a female because sure as hell is hot I need an example to lead me in grace towards the men in my own life. I didn’t realize misogyny was still this bad in the church today. But I suppose it is the same sin we’ve always dealt with and will always deal with. And we have to, as Beth Moore does, practice regular repentance of our sinful treatment of others.
